My name is Madame X.
My heart is torn in two.
And now I have to choose...
Caleb is everything to her: lover, caretaker, the man who gave her life meaning when she had none. But as she seeks the truth about herself and her past, she discovers that unravelling Caleb’s web of lies might very well be impossible.
Logan is everything she never knew she wanted: freedom, joy, and a passion she couldn’t anticipate. But is Logan’s love enough to save her from herself, from Caleb, and from the tumultuous truth of her past?
Caught between two equally compelling men, X must make the ultimate choice. But there’s more at stake than just her heart...

What just happened? No really, what did I just read? Madame X has been a crazy rollercoaster ride. It started off bumpy for me, but I really had to know what was happening so I picked up book two, which hooked me so hard that by the end I was ready to stalk Jasinda Wilder in a mad, crazed blogger kind of way for the final installment. Finally, finally, I got my hands on it and I’m not sure what to say.
I have no path. Only a road paved with sins and scars and pain and mistakes.
It’ll be next to impossible to give a review without spoilers…I really just want to tell the world what happened because it’s insanity from the first page to the last. I’m fairly certain somewhere along the lines I lost my mind. There is so much happening; so many secrets, so much deceit, and confusion. I felt terrible for X throughout the series she’s only required answers and yet all she gets is another set of questions.
Caleb is a monster and he proved that repeatedly throughout this book/series. Logan is the hero to root for, yet sometimes there are moments that I wondered if even he couldn’t be trusted. So much to take in…
I need it more than I need to breathe, because I can breathe Your oxygen, fill my lungs with Your breath and never need to breathe again.
If you haven’t read the first two books, do it before you even consider reading this one or you will be so lost a map, GPS, and the old man at the gas station won’t be able to get you on the right track. With all of that said, I don’t honestly know if this book left me satisfied or not. There is so much happening that I hardly knew what or how to feel. I can tell you, the book got into my head. Questions are answered, albeit with a maddening slowness that had me pulling my own hair out.
Jasinda Wilder definitely knows how to spin a tale, this series proves that despite many moments of doubt, and several pitfalls that normally would’ve prevented me from continuing, I wanted to finish it out. I needed to know what happened and who the real X was.
