Sarah Miller hasn’t been
home in seven years. She thought she could stay away forever. If it wasn’t for
her big brother’s wedding, that is. Part of her even feels silly for staying
away this long. It’s not like anyone even knew what happened. Well, except for

That guy. The one she
compared all others to. The one who set the bar so high no other guy after him
could even compete. The one who made her feel like anything was possible. The
one she thought she would never be good enough for. The one she spent the last
seven years trying to forget.

All she needs to do is
make it through the next week without running into him.

ARC provided by author for honest review. No spoilers.
This is the second book that I have read by author Carey Heywood. I was lucky enough to read both Stages of Grace and Him prior to their release and I thoroughly enjoyed both books.  Carey is a well rounded author of New Adult/Romance and I can’t wait to read more. (bwahaha… I have the ARC of Her on my Kindle- be jealous!)

Him… Will, end of. Okay, no it’s isn’t the end, you greedy whores want more.  Will is the epitome of what a person wants in a boyfriend… not just what we want as that fantasy BBF, but a real for real boyfriend.  He isn’t fifty shades of fucked up, he isn’t controlling, nor is he a douche canoe like so many of those BBFs we love tend to be.  Nope, Will is the kind of BBF you would proudly take home to your momma. At first I wasn’t sure how I would like that, because I will be totally honest with my whorelettes.. I LOVE my alpha-Domly-irrational-douche canoe BBFs. I LOVED WILL. There I said it. I LOVE sweet, down to Earth, GOOD GUY Will. He is sexy and strong. He knows who he wants and has bided his time to get HER.

Sarah… she is one misunderstanding away from confused. She isn’t the damsel in distress in the normal leading lady kind of way. Her heart is broken and she is closed off to any and all possibilities of love. She gave that heart of hers away a long time ago and never got it back. We follow Sarah through her past and her present throughout this story.

The way that Heywood wrote this story you are right there feeling the innocence of first love and the pain of love lost right along with her characters. One of the things that I have to give mad props to the author on is that she manages to smoothly transition between past and present. These transitions are often awkward and confusing, but the way Heywood does this it is absolutely seamless.  I give Him a solid five stars. If you haven’t read this book yet you absolutely MUST pick it up.  I would also like to give a quick congratulations to Carey Heywood because Him made the Top 25 in the Amazon.com Kindle store.  An amazing accomplishment! LOVE it!

My Him Dream Cast…
So this next picture is a selfie… I was so freakin’ excited that Carey sent me a copy of HIM that I put him in my pants!
(She didn’t think I would do it, but neener neener I did.)
(You bet your fuckin’ ass I am wearing pink and green butterfly jammie pants! Don’t judge me.)
Meet my Carey…

Carey Heywood lives in Richmond, Virginia with
her husband, three children, and nine-pound attack Yorkie. In her spare time,
she transports her children from one extra-curricular activity to another
while maintaining her day job in the world of
finance. Right now, she is probably eating Swedish Fish.
Stalk the author…
Carey is giving HIM away!
