She was meant to be his assassin
A forced player in a rivalry within The Estate
Yet her loyalty was to no person but herself
When Hope is taken captive by Xander Black
She becomes the one thing that can ensure Aaron’s reign

Raised within a rival crime network, Hope Delacroix wanted nothing to do with The Estate. A fierce warrior, Hope is given no choice but to kill Aaron Carmichael. Caught in her attempt, Hope is captured by Aaron’s top guard in an effort to discover who sent her.

Ever loyal and protective, Xander Black’s sole objective is to defend Aaron and Maddy. Willing to do whatever is necessary, Xander gives in to darkness in order to force information out of Hope.

As Xander enslaves Hope to break her down completely, he learns that in the two years since Joseph Carmichael’s death, dissension still exists within The Estate.

“I find it ironic that your name is Hope…especially considering that you have none.” ~ Xander Black

I have to start this review with saying if you haven’t read
Madeleine, Abducted yet you absolutely must read it first. Yeah, you could
probably pick up Hope Restrained and it would still be a kick ass read, but you’ll
kick yourself in the teeth when you realize you missed out on the EPIC
fucked-up-ness that helped get The Estate to where you find it in Hope
Restrained. Also, if you haven’t read it; this one will have serious spoilers
for Maddy and Aaron’s story.
The Estate Series is dark. It grabs you by the throat and
forces you into the pits of hell. The entire time you are reading you’ll have
thoughts as to why on earth you are torturing yourself. MS Willis is the queen
of depravity. These books show some of the most vicious and creative crimes
against humanity I have ever experienced in any movie or book. Despite the
horrors that occur on the Estate, there are these beautiful moments of hope,
redemption, and love in unexpected places that keep you emotionally tied to the
characters. As I sit here thinking back on each of the stories written by
Willis I can’t help comparing her to a spider. She weaves a perfect web that
you don’t ever see coming until it’s too late and then you are caught, at her
mercy until she decides to free you… or kill you.
Hope Delacroix is an assassin. There is only one other like
her and she has been tasked with killing him. Unfortunately, he is also the new
ruler of the Estate and doesn’t die so easily. Xander Black is second in
command of the Estate and sees Aaron as his brother. He would lay down his life
to protect him. Hope’s attempted assassination of Aaron is thwarted and she is
captured. Now at the mercy of Xander, she quickly learns that he will do anything
to get the answers he seeks. Who wants Aaron dead?
This book is written so incredibly well I literally lost
myself in the story – time means absolutely nothing when reading a book by MS
Willis. The characters are spot on. You will either love them or hate them. No
in between. Well, I guess except that sometimes you love to hate them and hate
to love them. Even the characters who only appear in a scene or two are so well
developed you connect to them despite not knowing a thing about them. Willis
had two surprise characters that are actually named after fans… I was shocked
by how much these two small roles really stood out. Beautifully executed.
Hope Restrained gets FIVE stars for storyline and even
though I haven’t really discussed it there are FIVE drenched panties in this
one too. Xander is one hot domineering man. He can sink his teeth into me any
day. This is a MaBW certified MUST READ!
Book provided by author for an honest review.

“Beg for me, Hope.”
The words were jumbled, echoing from deep within something
far from where she lay, but she wanted him back, closer, touching her, driving
her.  She floated inside a bubble of fire
and ice, of day and night.  Thought was
obsolete and meaningless, the only things necessary were pleasure…and
pain.  She’d beg, now that she’d been
pushed to a point of abandon and carelessness, she’d beg for more, for it never
to end.  Her strength was her weakness,
and now that he’d discovered it, he forced her body to betray her, to mock her
for how feeble her mind had become.
“Please.”  Her plea
was muffled by her intoxication and she opened her eyes to see his wicked
grin.  He didn’t look real.  He wore his strength and command over her
like he would clothing, every inch of his skin sticky with masculinity and raw
power.  Drops of sweat dripped down his
brow, sliding along his skin, breaking apart against the stubble of his jaw.  She’d trembled when he’d raked his cheek
along the inside of her thigh and she wanted to feel it over her breasts as his
teeth bit into the tips.
“Please what?”  He
laughed softly and his words vibrated through his chest, tickling her skin
where he touched her.  Every few seconds
he would run his length between her thighs, tempting and teasing her –
promising to fill her so full, her own body would break apart around him and
her mind would shatter within her skull.
 “Break me…please.”
