His family’s gym has produced a roster of mixed martial arts legends, but so far Kieran Kavanagh hasn’t followed in their footsteps. After a brawl lands him in jail, Kieran is assigned to work at a center for at-risk youth. Though given a second chance, Kieran’s simply going through the motions—until he meets one very special kid, Shea Doherty, and falls hard for her very beautiful, very grown-up big sister, Fiona. The trouble is, Kieran’s best opening moves are getting him nowhere fast.
Fiona Doherty has too many responsibilities to fool around, especially now that she has custody of Shea. Sure, she’d love to find a devoted partner. But she won’t jeopardize her sister’s happiness—or risk revealing her tortured past—on a love-’em-and-leave-’em type of guy like Kieran . . . so it’s up to him to prove her wrong. As Fiona spends more time with Kieran, she starts to see a softer side of the reckless warrior. Now she must admit that when it comes to the possibility of real love, well . . . there’s a fighting chance.

Welcome back to the world of the Kavanagh family…Saving a Legend is Kieran’s story which picks up where Rory’s leaves off. Both books are stand-alone, but to grasp the inner workings of the Kavanaghs and really feel all the strife I think you’ll want to read them in order. Plus, book one is amazing so you’d be crazy to miss it.
Kieran has just been released from prison and is ready to turn his life around — to find his purpose and fulfill his parole without incident so that he can get his life back on track. What he never anticipating was falling for the beautiful woman at the flower shop. And Fiona? She wasn’t ready for the temptation that is Kieran Kavanagh.
I loved everything about the romance in the pages of this book. So much push and pull between the characters, both with baggage they are terrified to tell the other about for fear of rejection. Add in Shea, a beautiful special needs child and sister to Fi, her legal guardian.
Breaking a Legend had Ace, Rory’s dog — but a secondary character to rival all others. His part in that book gave the story a depth that Robinson never could have achieved without him. Then we get Shea, another secondary character that absolutely steals your heart and the show more times than not. I’m totally in love with that girl, every momma bear instinct inside me was screaming to comfort and love that little girl. Watching Kieran handle her needs in a way that totally contradicts his outward appearances made my heart clench. Like seeing a man holding his baby for the first time…what hot-blooded woman can resist?
So many feels.
Saving a Legend is full of love, sacrifice, and a family full of strong roots that can weather any storm so long as they are together. I can’t get enough of this series and I cannot wait to read the next book.
