Konstantin, a powerful Dominant, is used to fast living and wanton submissives. But after years of his grandmother haranguing him to marry, he agrees to meet a girl from her rural Russian village. Naturally submissive, Varushka turns out to be everything Konstantin wants in a woman.

At first her innocence is disturbing, but her enthusiasm for life captivates him. When their relationship becomes a mutual seduction, Konstantin introduces Varushka to wicked pleasures she never imagined. His attentive care wins her absolute devotion. However, when Varushka’s father finds out about Konstantin’s past, he whisks her back home to Russia.

Will Konstantin fight to reclaim her, or will his guilt convince him to relinquish the only woman he’s ever loved?

Miranda’s Review

Well played Sparrow Beckett, well played.

To Have and to Master is the exact opposite of what I had expected. Throughout the series, Konstantin has been the dirtiest, kinkiest of the three friends. It made sense that this would be the dirtiest, kinkiest of the books as well, but surprisingly it wasn’t.

Was it dirty? Yes. Was it kinky? Hell yeah. Did Kon maintain the coldness he’d managed with all of his past relationships? Not even a little. Oh how the mighty crumble.

Varushka is a sweet country girl. Pure, hardworking, and nice. Genuinely nice. She doesn’t have a deceitful bone in her body. I thought that Kon was insane to give up the things he loved to have an arranged marriage with a completely innocent woman. She had no idea how things worked beyond the small Russian community she was from. It really felt like she was thrown to the wolves — Konstantin being the worst of them all.

This is where Sparrow Beckett dropped the kink and gave this reader the kind of romance that makes her swoon. Serious swooning happened. For as hot as Banner was with his no nonsense mastering of Kate and Ambrose perfectly mastering Everly’s brattiness, Konstantin and his cautious approach to his little bird was pure perfection.

Varushka was naturally submissive and subconsciously picked up on Konstantin’s dominance. It made the boundaries that Kon had placed on himself become blurred. He asserted his dominance in slow, but steady increments. It was such a natural progression for the pair. My heart was bursting by the time she fully grasped the meaning and depth between a slave and Master.

To Have and to Master is a beautifully written storyline combining the perfect balance of BDSM and sweet romance. Konstantin was a pleasant surprise and I’m sad to have finished the book so quickly. I just couldn’t put it down.
